This infinity-corrected biological compound microscope is equipped with LED Koehler brightfield and darkfield illumination, along with a low-noise USB camera designed for low-light imaging. The reversed quintuple nosepiece provides quick access to five objective positions, supporting 4X, 10X, 20X, 40X, and 100X objectives. The Plan achromatic objectives deliver excellent correction for chromatic aberration and field flatness. When paired with the 10X widefield eyepieces, the microscope offers magnification levels from 40X to 1000X. The Siedentopf trinocular head allows comfortable, compensation-free interpupillary adjustment, while the LED Koehler illumination system provides bright, even lighting with a field diaphragm for precise control.
With both dry and oil darkfield condensers included, this microscope offers enhanced versatility for observing translucent and transparent specimens. The included 1.2MP USB2.0 digital camera is engineered for excellent low-light performance. Its advanced back-illuminated CMOS sensor delivers high sensitivity, faster capture speeds, and performance that surpasses many traditional CCD cameras. The camera captures both still images and video, with frame rates up to 54fps at lower resolution in brightfield mode, and allows live viewing on a computer.
Compatible software is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The included Windows software provides image development, measurement tools, image stitching, and extended depth-of-focus functions. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow smooth high-speed video preview while capturing high-definition images. A lite version with limited processing features is available for Mac and Linux.
